Man Shot In Neck With Pellet Gun In Gwinnett County

The victim was driving with the windows to his car down when the pellet entered through the passenger's side and struck him, police said.

BUFORD, GA — The Gwinnett Police Department is trying to track down the person who recently shot a 30-year-old man in the neck with a pellet gun. The suspect may also be responsible for shooting at other passing cars, police said.

According to police, on Jan. 2, 2022, officers responded to a shooting on Kilgore and Cross Road. Once on scene, they met with the victim, who was bleeding from the right side of his neck.

Officers said the victim told them that an airsoft pellet hit him in the neck. He was driving with his windows down when the pellet traveled through his passenger window and hit him.

In addition, on the same day, officers said they responded to several property damage calls where additional victims reported being shot by what is believed to be a pellet gun. All victims appeared to be driving on Kilgore Road.

Damage to all victims' vehicles is consistent with those hit by pellet rounds, police said.
