Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint Celebrating Grand Opening

Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint is celebrating the opening of its first Gwinnett County location near the Mall of Georgia in Buford with a grand opening party and free pizza Saturday, June 22.

Uncle Maddio’s Mall of Georgia will give away free 9-inch three-topping pizzas to all guests from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and provide family-friendly entertainment including a stilt walker, face painting, and an inflatable.

As part of the celebration, the new restaurant will feature live music Friday, June 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. The restaurant officially opened Thursday, June 20.

The opening marks the 10th Uncle Maddio’s location in the greater Atlanta area.

Uncle Maddio’s gives customers more than 3 million pizza combinations. Its menu contains three types of crusts (white, wheat, and gluten-free), six sauces, seven cheeses (including Daiya vegan cheese), and 47 different fresh toppings, including locally-sourced, freshly delivered vegetables, hormone-free chicken, organic greens, and handmade meatballs and sausages. In addition to pizza, the restaurant serves hot, toasted paninis and made-to-order salads.

“The folks in Buford are going to love Uncle Maddio’s pizza,” said Uncle Maddio’s Mall of Georgia franchise owner Donald Lamar in a news release announcing the opening. “It puts a new spin on going out for pizza – everyone can get exactly what they want without having to share or pick off toppings they don’t like.”

“Uncle Maddio’s is also good at getting involved with the community, sponsoring local events and fundraising efforts,” Lamar said. “We can’t wait to get started!”

The new Uncle Maddio’s is located at 3320 Buford Drive near Best Buy, The School Box and Kirkland’s.

Uncle Maddio’s opened its first restaurant on North Druid Hills Road in Atlanta. It plans to have 20 locations open throughout the Southeast this summer.
