1 Dead, 2 Injured In Buford Highway Crash
A woman is dead and two people were injured in a traffic crash at the Ga. 400 northbound entrance ramp in a two vehicle collision.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA – A woman is dead and two people were injured in a traffic crash Jan. 2, at 7:42 p.m., at the Ga. 400 northbound entrance ramp in a two vehicle collision.
According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation has established that a 2007 Honda Odyssey, operated by Vayid Dzhakhidov, 32, of Cumming, was traveling west on Buford Highway approaching the intersection with the Ga. 400 northbound entrance ramp.
The Odyssey was also occupied by a front seat passenger Arzu Mirbaeva, 26, the wife of Dzhakhidov. A 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, operated by Jordan Banasiak, 27, of Cumming, turned left from eastbound Buford Highway toward the Ga. 400 northbound entrance ramp. The Honda Odyssey and the Chevrolet Cruze collided.

According to Deputy First Class Andy Ives, traffic investigator with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Jordan Banasiak was pronounced deceased at North Fulton Hospital on Jan. 3, after being transported there by ambulance on the evening of the crash.

Vayid Dzhakhidov and Mirbaeva were both transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Unit.
