  1. The community celebrated Forsyth County's top businesses on Thursday, Jan. 26 at the 2023 Best of Forsyth Ceremony. Out of thousands of nominations, 300 winners walked away with accolades β€” including event sponsor Beaver Toyota of Cumming, which earned four awards.   2. Just in time for Valentine's Day, the Cumming Arts Center will be opening a new exhibit and bringing back chocolate truffle tastings this month. The new "Love Is in the Air" exhibit opens on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m.; it will remain on display through Apr. 15 on the first-floor gallery and through Mar. 4 on the second-floor gallery. While you're checking out the art, you can also stop by for a chocolate truffle tasting on the following dates and times: Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18 from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 1-3 p.m., and Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 1-3 p.m. (Cumming Patch)
  3. Speaking of Valentine's Day: the Symphony Orchestra of North Georgia (SONG) will perform at Influencers Church EspaΓ±ol on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 5-7 p.m. for a Valentine's Dinner & Concert. Guests will enjoy a romantic evening, with dinner catered by Ippolito's Italian Restaurants and performances by SONG. Tickets can be purchased online; sales close Sunday, Feb. 5. This Saturday, Feb. 4, Rising Theatre is holding auditions for its upcoming production of Aladdin Jr. Rehearsals will take place every Saturday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., with performances running from Friday, May 19 through Sunday, May 21.
