- Today at 11:30 a.m., the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 2023 Teacher of the Year Awards at Forsyth Conference Center. This year's event is hosted in partnership with Forsyth County Schools, Northside Hospital Forsyth, and Georgia Power, and will honor "STAR Partners in Education," including outstanding parents and guardians of Forsyth County students and distinguished educational staff. - The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is organizing an open house event for women, called SHE*RIFF Women's Open House, on Mar. 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Women will be able to participate in interactive demonstrations led by women from the SWAT team, K9 unit, and Use of Force simulator, among others. - The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is offering a free Women's Self Defense class on Mar. 14 at the Old Atlanta Recreation Center in nearby Suwanee. The class is open to Forsyth County residents and designed to teach situational awareness to women through case studies of previous abductions, with limited hands-on training. The class is for women only, but teenagers aged 14 and above can attend at their parent's discretion due to the mature content. (Old Atlanta Park and Recreation Center via Facebook)

- Village Italian and Wheezy's Toy Store are hosting a Disney-themed Princess & Superhero Brunch on Mar. 25 featuring Elsa and Anna from "Frozen." The ticketed event includes a special Disney-themed brunch menu, performances of Disney songs by Elsa and Anna, and a meet-and-greet with the princesses at your table.
