2nd Student Charged After Loaded Gun Found At Forsyth Co. School
Authorities accused the second student of recording and uploading to social media a video that showed the first accused student and the gun.
CUMMING, GA β A second Little Mill Middle School student has been arrested after a 14-year-old student brought a loaded gun to school Tuesday, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities accused the second student of knowing about the gun at school, speaking with the initial student about the gun and recording video of the student and the gun. Authorities said the video was later uploaded to social media, sparking concern from parents and at the school.
"This video was taken during the school day and not reported to school officials or (student resource officers) on campus nor was it posted as a warning for students and parents," authorities said in a news release.

The initial student retrieved the gun from home, where it had been properly secured by their parents, authorities said. The student "secretly" took the gun from its locked storage container without parental knowledge, authorities said.
Charges for the initial student were not released; but, authorities previously said the student was taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center.
βI am grateful that a brave student came forward to report this firearm on campus, they are the heroes of this story, and this is how we keep our school safe," Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman said in the release.
"On the other side of this, those that did not report it, such as this second juvenile who even posted it to social media, will be held accountable for their actions. As we wind down the school year, parents please talk to your students about good decisions, about the consequences of stupid decisions and the vital importance of 'see something, say something' to avoid a tragedy here in Forsyth. It takes all of us to keep our schools safe."
