Alert Homeowner Credited with Arrests in Car Break-ins
Forsyth County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested three Cumming men, two after a foot chase, in connection with early morning incident Friday.
Forsyth County sheriff's officials are crediting an alert homeowner with a trio of arrests in an incident that started early Friday morning.
An alert resident of the Madison Springs subdivision on the north side of the county spottedΒ a white Honda Accord drive down his street, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Facebook post.
"Two young males exited the Honda while the driver pulled into a cul-de-sac," it says. "The two white males proceeded to pull on doors of parked cars to see if any were unlocked."Β

The homeowner dialed 911 and deputies whoΒ responded to the call, after a foot chase, apprehended two of theΒ suspects andΒ impounded the Accord.Β
"This is what Neighborhood Watch is all about!" says the department'sΒ Facebook post.

Gabriel Bobbitt, 19,Β of Shade Tree Lane in Cumming, and Tinker Gage, 20,Β of Carriage House Drive in Cumming, were arrested at the scene, sheriff's officeΒ spokesman Douglas Rainwater tells Patch. Each faces an entering auto charge, a felony.
Authorities at the sceneΒ tracked down the name of the third suspect and he was arrested later, Rainwater said. Stephen Dehaan, 20, ofΒ Somerton Place in Cumming, also wasΒ charged with entering auto.
Investigators are working toΒ determine if the trio may beΒ responsible for any other crimes, Rainwater added.
