Aquatic Center Seeks New Lifeguards for Fall and Winter
Cumming residents as young as 15 will be allowed to apply for the vacant positions, the city says.

The Cumming Aquatic Center is looking to hire new lifeguards for the upcoming fall and winter seasons with the expectation that the new hires will remain on staff during summer.
According to the city’s website, new hires will be eligible for a $155 training class refund if they complete the American Red Cross Lifeguard course, including all pre-test requirements as well as the brick test in 13.5 feet of water.
New hires must also be able to commit to 10 hours of open availability during fall and winter and 20 hours of open availability during the summer and must remain employed by the center for at least 60 days before receiving the refund, the city says.
