Board Of Commissioners Recognize Chris Grimes For Service As EMA

During their Jan. 5 meeting, the Board of Commissioners recognized Chris Grimes for his service as the EMA and 911 Center director.

During his time with Forsyth County, beginning in 2013, Grimes contributed in many areas to the County’s overall safety during various times of crises including four Presidential declared disasters as well as many other natural and man-made incidents that required strategic planning and response.

He also served as Communications Leader for the All-Hazards Group at the Super Bowl in Atlanta as well as served the Glenn County, Georgia community before, during, and immediately after the wake of a hurricane as a Public Information Officer for the area. Grimes led the County’s EMA and 911 Center with professionalism and made valuable contributions to the safety of Forsyth County, the State, and the Nation.
