City Staffer Dies After Being Hit By Truck In Cumming
A Cumming employe who was hit by a truck Monday died at the scene, city officials said.
CUMMING, GA β A city employee died after being hit by a truck Monday in a parking lot, Cumming officials said.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. in the parking lot of the City of Cumming Water Facilities, located at Dahlonega Highway, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said.
The 44-year-old employee, who was not identified, died at the scene, both city officials and authorities said.

"The City of Cumming is completely devastated following this tragic accident that resulted in the loss of life of a treasured city employee. The City of Cumming is very much a family, and we are all in shock and utterly heartbroken following this morningβs tragedy. We ask for the community to join us in prayer for the family and friends of our lost employee, as well as for our entire City of Cumming family," city officials said in a statement.
The FCSO's Traffic Specialist Unit is investigating the fatal crash, authorities said.
