Cumming Scholars Graduate from UNG

Approximately 300 graduates walked across the stage during the school's summer commencement.

The University of North Georgia’s (UNG) summer commencement ceremony was held Aug. 1 on the Dahlonega Campus, and celebrated some 300 graduates. The graduates included the following Cumming residents:

  • Raymond Joseph Lagomasino graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.
  • Daniel Alan Annis graduated with an Associate of Science in Biology.
  • Matthew Chandler Hand graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
  • Natalie A. Downs graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
  • Alina Stephanie Fitzner graduated with a Master of Science in Criminal Justice.
  • Molly Ray Scott graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in forensics.
  • Alexis Michelle Richter graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
  • Brittany Ann Westmoreland graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services Administration.
  • Divya Vaithyam graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
  • Kara Leann Fasano graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
  • Mystical Nicole Cantrell graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Kyle Cleveland Murphy graduated with an Associate of Arts in Psychology.
  • Jennifer Louise Ford graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
  • Elizabeth Ann Smith Smith graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in English.
  • Hannah Bailey Miller graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in Middle Grades.
  • Erika Nicole England graduated with an Associate of Arts in Business Administration.
  • Ross Jonathan Palmer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
  • Robin Cohl graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
  • Juan Sebastian Martinez Ramos of Cumming (30040). Martinez Ramos graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs with a Latin American concentration.
  • Caylin Mariee Davenport graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management.
  • Jessica Marie Brown graduated with an Associate of Science in Nursing.
  • Colleen Marie Boudreaux graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Victoria Logan Davidson graduated with an Associate of Science in Pre-Nursing.
  • Melissa D. Pady graduated with Distinction with an Associate of Arts in Psychology.
  • Christopher Ross Porter graduated with a Master of Business Administration .
  • Sarah Elizabeth Chapman graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.
  • Ryan Patrick Bagnal graduated with an Associate of Science in Biology.
  • Christian Temples Eggleston graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
  • Christopher Dale Helmuth graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
  • Kelci Marie French graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
  • Caroline Ann O’Connor graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Emily Ann Mastronardo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
  • Amanda Christine Dockstader graduated with an Associate of Science in Pre-Nursing.
  • Richard Jacob Castleberry graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching with a concentration in History.

For the 2014-2015 academic year, more than 2,400 students graduated from UNG and have gone on to serve as professional, civic and military leaders in communities nearby and around the world.

β€œWe are here to honor you with the richest tradition in the academic community -- a commencement ceremony,” UNG President Bonita Jacobs said before conferring degrees. β€œWe all know what it took for you to reach this moment. We know that, as graduates of UNG, you will add meaning and value to the lives of those around you.”

Graduates also heard messages of congratulations and encouragement and an assurance from guest speaker Britney Vickery, CEO and founder of Initials, Inc., that they now hold the ticket to their future.
