Daves Creek Drive to Close on Monday
Road will close for realignment project; expected to open in September.
Motorists beware: Starting Monday, Daves Creek Drive will be temporarily closed at Old Atlanta Road to through traffic to allow it to be raised and realigned with Old Atlanta Road.
According to a notice from the county, the road should open by Sunday, Sept. 8.
The work is part of an intersection improvement project funded by SPLOST VI and will improve motorists’ sight distance and turning angle. Left and right turning lanes will also be built on Old Atlanta Road at Daves Creek Drive.

“We appreciate motorists’ patience during this temporary closure, as work is done to improve this intersection,” Director of Engineering John Cunard said in the statement.
