Dogtopia Opens At Halcyon, Expanding Dog-Friendly Offerings

CUMMING, GA — Just in time for the final dog days of summer, pet owners and their furry friends can now experience Dogtopia at Halcyon. The full-service dog daycare with boarding and spa services opened on Monday with plans for a grand opening event in late-August.

Owned and operated by local residents and dog-lovers Michael and Kim Musso, Dogtopia Alpharetta at Halcyon assures furry friends will enjoy safe socialization with other dogs, as well as exercise and education among a team of trained professionals, known as Canine Coaches. With 160 locations across North America, each Dogtopia is equipped with proven safety measures for your furry family members, such as double doors, soundproofed and climate-controlled playrooms, compressed rubber flooring, live webcams during open play and certified pet-friendly cleaning supplies. Dogs are also separated into open playrooms based on size and temperament.

As a part of Halcyon’s second phase, Dogtopia is located at 6275 Cortland Walk , across Ronald Reagan Boulevard from the retail village and next to the Big Creek Greenway trailhead. Visitors, residents and employees can drop their pets off for daycare or a spa service while they shop, dine, work or play. On the retail side of the development, pet owners can also enjoy weekly Yappy Hours with their pups on Tuesday nights, dog-friendly restaurant patios and retailers, water bowls throughout the property and more. The property also offers dog-focused events throughout the year, with upcoming events including Doodle Dog Day on Sept. 26, a Howloween Party on Oct. 26 and a Santa Paws fundraiser for FurKids on Dec. 12.
