Fire Guts Automotive Business in Downtown Cumming

Forsyth County firefighters were called to a fire Wednesday afternoon at Benton Motorsports located at 328 Dahlonega Street in downtown Cumming.

Capt. Jason Shivers of the said units were called to the scene around 1:48 p.m. When they arrived the automotive business was fully engulfed in fire.

"The building is going to be heavily damaged," said Shivers. "Fortunately there are no injuries and the fire is under investigation."

Dahlonega Street was shut down in both directions during the incident.
