Forsyth County Deputy Honored At State Capitol

Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy First Class Rod Reeves was hit and seriously injured by a drunk driver while on duty in 2017.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA – Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy First Class Rod Reeves, who was hit and seriously injured by a drunk driver while on duty in 2017, was honored at the State Capitol Feb. 21. Senator Greg Dolezal presented him with a privileged Resolution, recognizing and commending his services.

Reeves and his wife also visited with Governor Kemp and Lt. Governor Duncan. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office senior command staff was in attendance to show their continued support for DFC Reeves and his family.

"We are proud of the hard work Rod has put in to return to the job he loves!" they said on Facebook.
