Forsyth County Fire Department Awards Personnel At Annual Ceremony

In a ceremony held Saturday, March 11, the Forsyth County Fire Department presented various awards and promoted 25 personnel during the department’s annual recognition ceremony. Family, friends and Fire Department staff attended the ceremony held at Local Church Forsyth. Photos from the event can be found on the Fire Department Facebook page and by clicking here.

Awards were presented to personnel in the first portion of the ceremony. Life-Saved Awards were presented to Fire Department personnel in recognition of their outstanding actions when a life threatening situation occurred. Unit Citation Awards were also given to personnel as well as a recognition for the recent Don Hendricks award given to the Fire Department during Forsyth County Schools’ Teacher of the Year ceremony.

In the promotional portion of the event, 25 members of the department were formally promoted to their new positions of battalion chief, captain, lieutenant, fire apparatus operator, senior fire inspector and senior fire prevention training officer. Below are the names of all that received promotions along with their new title.
