FORSYTH COUNTY, GA β The Forsyth County Fire Explorer Cadet Program is looking for young adults to volunteer.
If you are looking for an exciting challenge, enjoy being a team member, and want to learn more about a career in the fire and emergency service, the Forsyth County Fire Department has a program just for you.
The Fire Explorer Cadet program is a co-ed program designed to provide young adults between the ages of 14 and 19 years an opportunity to experience firsthand, the many challenges and rewards of being a firefighter or paramedic. Along with learning about careers, cadets will also participate in community fire safety education campaigns, and other support activities of the Fire Department. The Fire Explorer Cadet program is a part of the Learning for Life, Exploring Program and is chartered to the department.

You and a parent/guardian are invited to attend an informational meeting hosted by the Forsyth County Fire Department, and the nationally known Explorers program. The meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m., at the Forsyth County Public Safety Complex located on 3520 Settingdown Road, Cumming GA, 30028.

During the meeting you will receive information about the program and an application to join. An annual membership fee of $36 applies and will be collected at the meeting that night.
