  1. On Tuesday, Georgia senators voted to permanently block COVID-19 vaccination requirements for schools, state agencies, and local governments. Senator Greg Dolezal (R-Cumming), who is sponsoring the bill, believes the government should not be able to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine, nor refuse services to the unvaccinated. The measure would make permanent a temporary one-year ban on vaccine mandates, which was enacted last year. (WABE 90.1 FM)
  2. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has opened registration for Class #38 of the Citizen's Law Enforcement Academy (CLEA). The nine-week academy β€” open to county residents, employees, and business owners age 21 and older β€” will start on Monday, Mar. 13 and meet weekly from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Applications are available online; those with questions can contact Cpl. Jenny Belafi at jlbelafi@forsythco.com. (Forsyth County Sheriff's Office via Facebook)
  3. Pet parents, did you know that February is National Spay/Neuter Awareness Month?
