Due mainly to tornados and hurricanes, Georgia ranks No. 15 in the U.S. for total property damage, with an average of $454.03 per capita. As spring approaches, Cumming officials announced on Tuesday that Pieces & Peaches, a local mother-daughter-owned fashion clothing boutique, will be hosting its spring seasonal pop-up market at the Cumming City Center. This event will take place on Apr. 22 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will feature up to 80 unique local artisans and vendors and live entertainment and activities for kids.   3. Forsyth County deputies are searching for a local man accused of striking his wife. Deputies placed an arrest warrant for a man from Cumming who allegedly struck his wife and verbally threatened her in January. A woman told Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office deputies she and her husband had an argument while driving home and that he struck her with the back of his hand. (Appen Media)
  4. Forsyth County Sheriff's Office recently sent a reminder to residents that bicycles and motor vehicles need to share the roadway. In Georgia, a bicycle is legally considered a "vehicle."
