Updated Georgia Fall Forecast: Warm Temperatures Sticking Around
The latest forecast for this fall in Georgia will continue trend of warmer weather.

ATLANTA, GA β Earlier forecasts suggested Georgia could see some wet weather to go with unusually warm temperatures this fall. But the latest look at the season has most of the Atlanta metro area included in an area of extended dry conditions across the South.
The National Weather Service notes temperatures across the country will be above average for the 3-month period through November. North and central Georgia should see precipitation below normal levels, according to forecasters.
The worst of the hot temps may be up and down the East Coast, according to the Weather Channel. The season has kicked off with temperatures above average for Georgia, forecasters note.

October will find temperatures slightly above average and November will be near normal, according to the updated fall forecast from The Weather Company chief meteorologist Todd Crawford.
The dry forecast is likely good news for attendees at popular outdoor fall events like Music Midtown and the Atlanta Pride Festival.

The forecast might call for an overall dry season, but we'll still have to keep one eye on the Atlantic for the next few weeks.
It was an uneventful start for the season until Hurricane Hermine rolled through south Georgia. The National Hurricane Center still predicts the strongest season since 2012.
Forecasters expect up to 17 named storms, with at least 5 hurricanes and up to 4 major hurricanes.
The extended forecast for Georgia calls for temperatures at nearly 80 degrees weeks into October, according to AccuWeather. The region will cool off slightly in the second half of the month, but still staying in the 70-degree range into November.
