Get an Early Taste of Forsyth County High School Football
All six Forsyth County high school football teams are playing preseason games this weekend.

High school football in GeorgiaΒ is not quite ready for prime time, but dress rehearsals are scheduled in nearby communities this week.
Scrimmage football games, practice encounters in preparation ofΒ the official start of the season later this month, give coaches and players a chance to gauge their progress, and communities a test drive of the Friday night experience.
According to a preseason schedule compiled byΒ theΒ Georgia High School Football Daily, here are the six scrimmages games coming upΒ involving Forsyth County teams.

- Forsyth Central at Cherokee, Friday, Aug. 16
- Lambert at Lanier, Friday, Aug. 16
- North Forsyth at Riverwood, Friday, Aug. 16
- South Forsyth at Winder-Barrow, Friday, Aug. 16
- West Forsyth at Central Gwinnett, Friday, Aug. 23
- Pincrest Academy at King's Ridge Christian, Friday, Aug. 30
Georgia High School Football Daily also notes, North Forsyth High School has hired Dutchtown coach Jason Galt to replace Blair Armstrong, who is now head coach of Hamilton County in Florida.
Galt is a California native and former Georgia player, who has been an assistant at Cedar Shoals (1995), Clarke Central (1996-98), Cartersville (1999), Liberty County (2002-04) and Carrollton (2005-06).
North Forsyth was 4-16 in Armstrong's two seasons. Β
