ICYMI: Star Wars Reading Event in Cumming
This weekend's event will feature a costume parade, arts and crafts, trivia, and a visit from some very special "bad guys."

Hampton Park Library in Cumming is getting ready to host the fourth annual Star Wars Reads Day, a costume-filled global event meant to promote both the Star Wars franchise and reading among young people.
The event kicks off at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11 and runs until 4. No registration is required, and the event is free of charge. Kids and adults alike are encouraged to come to the event in their best Star Wars costumes, Forsyth County Public Library says. The event will feature trivia, Jedi and Imperial crafts stations, and a costume parade.

Speaking of costumes, Imperial Stormtroopers and other costumed members of the Georgia Garrison of the 501st Legion will be on hand to help give the event a special flair, participating in a meet and greet session and making themselves available for photos with the kiddos from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
