Man's Body Pulled from Lake Lanier

No signs of foul play were discovered at the scene, sheriff's deputies said.

An autopsy will confirm what led to the death of a man whose body was retrieved from Lake Lanier on Monday, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday morning.

The body ofΒ Curtis I. Lee, 52, of Gwinnett County was pulled from the water near Six Mile Creek Park by members of the Forsyth County Fire Department dive team, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Epifanio Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez said the GBI was contacted and Lee’s body was sent for an autopsy.

Deputies were summoned to the area after a watchful citizen grew suspicious of a truck that had been parked inside the park all day, Rodriguez said.

The investigation is pending an autopsy report but no signs of foul play were discovered, according to Rodriguez.
