More Meth Smuggled into Forsyth Jail: Report

A sheriff's office incident report claims the woman admitted to keeping the drugs concealed on her person hoping to sell them once released.

A Gainesville woman who was arrested on drug possession charges during a traffic stop is now facing more drug possession charges after she admitted to smuggling methamphetamine into the Forsyth County jail.

Mallory Faith Starley, 29 was inside the booking area of the jail on Sept. 18 when jail staff discovered the drugs hidden in her private areas, an incident report says. A deputy interviewed Starley, who admitted to smuggling the drugs in her private areas and bringing them inside the guard lines following her original arrest.

According to the report, Starley told the deputy she had hoped to keep the meth hidden on her until she was released, at which time she hoped to sell the drugs back in Gainesville.

Starley has been charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possessing illegal substances while in custody, the report says.

Two weeks following Starley’s arrest, inmate Kimberley Doris Ramey, 24 was found to be in possession of seven grams of meth inside her private areas. Ramey was charged with the same crimes as Starley.
