Mother Who Took 6-Year-Old Jailed

The Cumming woman does not have custodial rights and was wanted for contempt of court, deputies said.

The Cumming mother who took her 6-year-old son and sparked a Levi’s Call over the weekend has been arrested and charged for her actions, sheriff’s deputies said Monday.

Amber Fisher, 23, took Trevor Cargle on Friday despite not having custodial rights over him, sheriff’s office spokesman Epifanio Rodriguez said Monday. Cargle was possibly in danger, so the GBI was notified and a missing child alert was posted statewide.

A family member returned Cargle to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Rodriguez said. According to Rodriguez, Fisher left Cargle with the family member then turned herself in later that evening.
