Mowing in Forsyth May Require Lane Closures
Georgia Department of Transportation crews plan to mow state route 306 and 369 in Cumming and Forsyth, as well as other roads in nearby counties.

The Georgia Department of Transportation is planning routine maintenance activities nextΒ week in Forsyth and areaΒ counties, if weather permits.
Officials expect most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures, according to the press release. Following is a tentative schedule; if emergency response is needed at a crash scene or if emergency repairs are necessary this schedule will change.Β

Β Crews will workΒ Monday, Aug. 26, through Friday, Aug. 30. Work hours are 7 a.m. toΒ 5:30 p.m. if weather permits. Lane closures are required for patching asphalt, a flagman or pilot vehicle will direct traffic through the work zone.Β

Forsyth:Β Crews will mow State Route 306 and SR 369
Dawson:Β Crews will mow SR 9 and on SR 136Β
Gwinnett:Β A crew will mow SR 20, SR 124 and SR 324
Hall:Β A crew will mow on SR 11/US129, SR 60 and I-985 while another crew repairs the damaged slope alongside SR 365 northbound approximately 1 mile north of I-985βs Exit 24. A crew will refresh the striping on SR 11/US 129 at crosswalks and all words on asphalt, this work will require a lane closure. Sealing cracks in the driving surface is planned on SR 60 north of Gainesville. Sealing cracks requires a lane closure while crews work.Β
Motorists should reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
