The  is being sued by a woman who says inadequate medical while in the jail led to her newborn baby's death.

According to the Marietta Daily Journal, 24-year-old Taylor Hogan delivered her baby in a bathroom in August 2010 while she was incarcerated on a charge of possession of stolen property. Her baby, whom she named Savante Hopkins Jr., died nine hours later.

The newspaper reports that Hogan alleges in the lawsuit, which she filed in U.S. District Court in Atlanta, that she received inadequate medical care before and after her baby's birth.

Gwinnett Police arrested Mathew Hammond, 21, who acted violently and apparently ate his own feces while allegedly under the influence of bath salts during an incident in Duluth, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported Friday.

Police officers were called to a residence in the 2100 block of Worrall Hill Drive in unincorporated Duluth around 4 p.m. July 3 in response to a report from a woman who informed police that Hammond, her son, was "walking around out of his mind, armed with a knife," according to the police incident report cited in the AJC article. He apparently dropped the knife before police arrived.

Hammond reportedly ran toward the police car and chased after it when the officer pulled away. After the officer stopped the vehicle, Hammond pulled on the locked doors and banged on the windows and challenged the officer to a fight before being subdued, the AJC reported.

Hammond continued to act bizarrely after being arrested, according to the police report, and the officer smelled excrement on his breath and observed what appeared to be feces in his mouth and on his teeth, the newspaper article stated.

Bartow authorities via Facebook are notifying and warning locals of two police impersonators who were involved in a Friday night theft in Paulding County.

 sent out an alert after a woman had her wallet taken by two Caucasian men in a black Ford Crown Victoria, which had a blue light on the dashboard. The woman was driving in southern Paulding County when she was stopped by a vehicle that resembled a law enforcement officer's.   

The men, said to have been dressed in business attire, approached the driver, who was alone. Once the men made contact with her, one of them took her wallet. Both men then fled the scene.
