- The Forsyth County Planning Commission will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Commissioner's Meeting Room at the Forsyth County Administration building. - The IPRA World Championship Rough Stock Rodeo is heading to the Cumming Fairgrounds on Mar. 31 and Apr. 1. Featured events include Bare Back Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, and Barrel Racing. The rodeo starts at 8:00 p.m. each night and lasts around an hour and a half. - Lots of things are happening at the Cumming Library through the rest of this week! Today there are two kids' reading events (Books & Babies at 10:30 a.m. and Paws to Read for kindergarteners and up at 3:30 p.m.) and a Global Affairs Discussion Program on politics in Latin America at 7:00 p.m. Tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. is an adult book club meeting followed by several evening events, including a club meeting for teens interested in coding, a writing group for adults, and a family storytime. - The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office shared bodycam footage of the arrest of 26-year-old Damian Berryman, who was charged with Aggravated Assault, Reckless Driving, Failure to Stop and Render Aid, Driving without a Valid Driver License, and Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer. The incident involved Berryman allegedly hitting a pregnant woman with his car after a domestic dispute. The Sheriff's Office deployed around 15 deputies to secure the area, while K9 Flash helped to apprehend Berryman during the pursuit. (Forsyth County Sheriff's Office via Facebook)
