'Obamacare' Poll Shows Forsyth Republicans Want Repeal, Says Chairman
The survey targeted local Republicans in the 7th and 9th districts.

The Forsyth County Republican Party conducted a survey this monthΒ of 110 local Republicans. It focused on "Obamacare," theΒ Patient Protection and Affordable Care ActΒ passed in 2010, a majorΒ overhaul of the country's healthcare system.
When asked in the Aug. 17 survey that covered the 7th and 9th districts,Β βWhich of the following best describes the action you would like your Representative and Senator to take regarding Obamacare before the end of the 2013 Congressional session?β Forsyth Republicans answered, with 75.4 percentΒ responding, βVote in favor of defunding Obamacare," according to the press release.Β
The surveyΒ was sent to members of the Forsyth County Republican Party email list. Of those who received it, 110 completed all the questions.

The next most popular response was, βVote in favor of delaying Obamacare,β which was selected by 10.9 percentΒ of survey takers.
Republican support for completely removing Obamacare was overwhelming, according to local Republican party officials. Β

When asked, βIf Republicans win majorities in the House and Senate during the 2014 elections, which statement best describes the action that you think Congress should takeβ, 89 percentΒ replied with,Β βRepeal Obamacare Completelyβ.
"We wanted to know how Forsyth County Republicans felt about Obamacare,βΒ ChairmanΒ Brad Wilkins said in the release.Β βThe results are clear. Nancy Pelosi said they had to pass the bill to see what was in it. The Democrats passed it.Β
"Obamacare is not about healthcare, itβs about control. Obamacare is one of the largest tax-increasing, government-increasing and job-destroying pieces of legislation in history. Our local Republicans know what is in Obamacare, and they want the House and Senate to vote to get rid of it.β
