Rape Suspect Has Ties to Forsyth County

A 19-year-old man wanted by the GBI on charges of rape and false imprisonment may be hiding in Forsyth County, the bureau says.

Anthony Elijah Jones, 19, is wanted for arrest by the Franklin Springs Police Department and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office after he allegedly committed the acts at Emanuel College on Sept. 5, according to a GBI release. A Franklin County grand jury has returned an indictment against Jones, as well.

Jones has been known to frequent the Lake Lanier area of Forsyth and also the Kennesaw area in Cobb County. He is described as a white male who stands 6’ tall and weighs 180 lbs.
