Remains Found During Forsyth House Fire

Additionally, three nearby homes were damaged after the initial fire Friday at Fairlane Trail in Forsyth County.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA β€” A person was found dead, and four homes were damaged, during a house fire Friday morning, Forsyth County officials said.

The blaze occurred around 5 a.m. in the 9000 block of Fairlane Trail in northeast Forsyth, near Bethel Road, officials said.

During a search of the home, officials said a person's remains were located. The identity of the person is unknown.

Radiant heat from the initial fire damaged three nearby homes, officials said.

The Forsyth County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire, while the Forsyth County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death of the person.
