Scam Alert from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office
A man is calling people in Forsyth County claiming to be Lieutenant John Martin with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and soliciting money.

We have received numerous reports about a man calling people in Forsyth County claiming to be Lieutenant John Martin with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. The man tells them that they have missed a jury summons and that if they do not pay a large sum of money over the phone, a warrant will be issued for their arrest. We do not employ a Lieutenant John Martin and we do not call people to pay fines over the phone.
We are currently investigating these incidents. Please share this information to ensure that no one you know falls victim to this impersonator.
