Corporal Brandon Wiley of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has been named Deputy of the Second Quarter.

Wiley has distinguished himself by leading his shift and the Uniform Patrol Division (UPD) in proactive contacts during this [second] Quarter, according to the FCSO.

"Corporal Wiley is always willing to help members of his shift and always has the service attitude and his love for the job shows through in his work," wrote Deputy Sheriff Doug Rainwater in the press release.

During a recent incident, Corporal Wiley and another deputy from UPD responded to a suicide attempt (hanging) where they cut down the individual and were able to remove a ligature, which is a type of binding material, from the airway of the individual. Along with the help of personnel who were on scene, the individual was brought back to consciousness.

"This type of service is indicative of the effort put out by Brandon Wiley every day he comes to work," added Rainwater.

Cpl. Wiley has been employed with the FCSO since March 2005, and was named Deputy of the month in Aug. and Oct. of 2011.
