State Senator To Read To Kids for Georgia Pre-K Week

Sen. Jack Murphy, R-Cumming, joins more than a hundred other state senators set to read as part of Pre-K Week.

State Sen. Jack Murphy, R-Cumming,Β is set toΒ readΒ to students at Kids 'R' KidsΒ No. 38 in CummingΒ for the third-annual Georgia Pre-K Week onΒ Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 9:30 a.m.Β He joins with more than a hundred state leaders set toΒ readΒ as part of Pre-K Week, which isΒ Sept. 30 throughΒ Oct. 4, and celebrates the 20thΒ anniversary of Georgia’s Pre-K program.

β€œI’m looking forward to joining the students at Kids 'R' Kids as part of Georgia’s Pre-K Week this year,” Murphy said in a press release. β€œWith thousands of Georgia children benefiting from this exceptional program that helps lay down strong foundational building blocks for our students’ future education, I’d like to recognize all the teachers and educational advocates that are the backbone to our state’s Pre-K program.”
