Student, 16, Charged After Threats Made At Cumming School
The threatening messages were written on the bathroom wall of North Forsyth High School, authorities said.

CUMMING, GA β A 16-year-old boy attempting to shut down North Forsyth High School by writing threatening messages on a bathroom wall is now facing charges, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
The student was not identified by name. Authorities said the messages were found Tuesday in the school bathroom, adding the intent was not to hurt anyone at the Coal Mountain Drive school.
"While interviewing the suspect, it was determined there was no plan or intent to cause harm to the students or staff at the school. The student indicated the motive for the threat was to simply shut down the school," authorities said in a news release.

The threats caused students to feel uneasy, authorities said. During the investigation, extra deputies were assigned to the school.
"The Forsyth County Sheriffβs Office takes threats of this nature very serious and investigate them thoroughly," authorities said in the release.

Investigators spent hours watching video surveillance and interviewing students.
Ultimately, the accused student was charged on suspicion on felony terroristic threats, disruption of public school and trespass, authorities said. He will be transported to a regional youth detention center in Gainesville.
