Students at Carrington Academy in Cumming Donate Gifts to Children

Students at Carrington Academy on Kelly Mill Road in Cumming recently donated gifts to KARE for Kids, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides gifts to underprivileged children. The donations were the result of a “star tree” program, where students worked together to collect a variety of wish list items, including clothes, shoes, toys and games to benefit local children during the holidays. At the end of the collections, students prepared the donations for pick-up by a representative from the organization. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.
