Trunk Or Treat Safety Event To Be Held At Cumming Fairgrounds
The purpose of Trunk or Treat is for children to have fun while learning about Halloween safety.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA β Local families are invited to the countyβs ninth annual Trunk or Treat Safety Event. The family-friendly event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Cumming Fairgrounds, located at 235 Castleberry Road.
βDuring this time of the year, the Forsyth County Fire Department provides as much education as possible to the public about staying safe during Halloween activities such as trick-or-treating,β said Fire Chief Danny Bowman. βWith Trunk or Treat, we can provide a fun event for children while also sharing important safety information with them and their families.β
The purpose of the event is for children to have fun while learning about Halloween safety including costume safety, pedestrian safety, stranger danger, stop-drop-roll demonstrations and more. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to Trunk or Treat and bagged candy donations are encouraged.

βThe fire department looks forward to Trunk or Treat every year and takes a great deal of pride in the safety education that is provided to the community,β said Division Chief Jason Shivers.
