Unemployment Rate Rises to 6.9 Percent in Forsyth County
The Georgia Department of Labor attributed increases across metro Atlanta to two seasonal factors.

Forsyth County's unemployment rate jumped to 6.9 percent in June from 6.4 percent in May,Β Β according to numbers the Georgia Department of Labor released today.
This increase mirrored an uptickΒ across metro Atlanta, where theΒ unemployment rate jumped from 8.2 percent in May toΒ 8.9 percent in June.
But at 6.9 percent, Forsyth has the distinction of the lowest unemployment rates when compared to its neighboring counties tracked by the Georgia Department of Labor.
