Woman Killed After Being Hit By Vehicle In Cumming

CUMMING — A woman was killed Monday night after being hit by a vehicle at Keith Bridge Road near Freedom Parkway, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.

Authorities said the fatal crash happened around 8:30 p.m., when the woman was hit by a Dodge Caravan being driven by a 57-year-old Cumming man while crossing the road.

The woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was wearing dark clothing and the road was unlit "aside from some ambient lighting," authorities said.

The driver immediately stopped after the crash, authorities said. The investigation is ongoing, and it is unknown if there will be any charges in the case.
