- The 2022 Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run is scheduled for Oct. 15. The event is meant as a fundraiser for cutting-edge imaging technology for Northside Hospital Cancer Institute. Registration for the event is $30 per participant. Click to register here. (City of Dacula)
- Gwinnett County Schools' Berkmar High School went under a hard lockdown on Thursday afternoon. The incident was in response to two students fighting. A student reported seeing a weapon. School police started an investigation, but no weapon was located. The lockdown lasted for 45 minutes. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident. (WSBTV)
- The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for information related to a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred in Norcross on Aug. 2. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Singleton Road and Harbins Ridge Drive around 10:30 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. Residents are reminded to obey pedestrian signals and to be extra cautious when crossing streets. (Gwinnett Daily Post)
