Here are the top three stories in Dacula today:

1. The 2022 Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run is scheduled for Oct. 15. The event is meant as a fundraiser for cutting-edge imaging technology for Northside Hospital Cancer Institute. Registration for the event is $30 per participant. Click to register here. (City of Dacula)
2. Gwinnett County Schools' Berkmar High School went under a hard lockdown on Thursday afternoon. The incident was in response to two students fighting. A student reported seeing a weapon. School police started an investigation, but no weapon was located. The lockdown lasted for 45 minutes. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident. (WSBTV)
3. The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for information related to a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred in Norcross on Aug. 2. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Singleton Road and Harbins Ridge Drive around 10:30 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. Residents are reminded to obey pedestrian signals and to be extra cautious when crossing streets. (Gwinnett Daily Post)
