Avid Bowler, Senior Olympian to Be Laid to Rest

Anna Elizabeth Beard, 82, of Dacula, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 13.

Beard, an avid bowler and Senior Olympian, was a member of the Buford Church of Christ and also a member of the Red Hat Society. 

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Henry Houston Beard, as well as several children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are set for Monday, Sept. 23, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery in Decatur, Ga.
