Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:

  1. The Gwinnett County Police Department continues to search for a man accused of exposing himself to women in the metro Atlanta area. The department reports that multiple women have come forward with reports of a man exposing himself at the Mall of Georgia and various metro Atlanta stores. The man is reportedly around 5 feet 8 inches and wears a hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. (News Channel 9)
  2. A section of Braselton Highway, which runs through Dacula, will be closed this morning to reconstruct a crash scene. The closure will occur between Hamilton Mill Road and Hamilton Creek Parkway at 9:45 a.m. Both directions of the highway will be closed during the reconstruction. The Gwinnett County Police Department reports that the closure will be "as brief as possible." (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  3. Gwinnett County high school students received hands-on research experience at Georgia Gwinnett College this summer. The experience was possible through an innovative program meant for students in underserved communities. The purpose of Project Seed is to enrich the chemical science enterprise by providing STEM opportunities for high school students. Six high school students participated this summer in three different research projects. (Gwinnett Daily Post)
