Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:
- A Gwinnett County Police Department K9 unit will reportedly be released today, Jun. 14, from the hospital. Kai, a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois will be discharged from the Northeast Georgia Medical Center after being treated for several gunshot injuries. Levi Bryan, the suspect that injured Kai, is reportedly still alive after police returned fire during the altercation that wounded Kai. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- Georgia's average gas price has risen 21 cents per gallon since last week. Gwinnett County residents are paying $4.51 per gallon on average — higher than the state average of $4.48 per gallon. The American Automobile Association is warning residents that the high gas prices will likely continue through the summer. (Patch)
