Here are the top three stories today in Dacula:

  1. Authorities have arrested two teens that stole a vehicle from north Georgia and wrecked it in Gwinnett County. The car was found wrecked on Tuesday at the intersection of Lee Road and Telida Trail in nearby Snellville. The stolen vehicle was reportedly a family member's car. The two teens will be brought back to Whitfield County. (WSBTV)
  2. The Softball Rankings for Week Eight have been released. The Dacula softball team has been ranked sixth in Class 7A behind fifth-ranked North Paulding. First-ranked Buford will be playing Dacula today (Oct. 13). If Dacula loses, Buford will have gone undefeated this season. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  3. The Gwinnett County Police Academy is celebrating its 50th Anniversary. The academy first started out as the Gwinnett County Police Training Center and was the first departmental training center in the state of Georgia.
