Here are the top three stories in Dacula today:
- Gwinnett County is reviewing and making changes to garbage company contracts. The changes are meant to address rising fuel costs, worker shortages, supply chain issues, and high trash volume. The changes will reportedly increase payments for haulers while allowing the county to hold companies accountable for missed routes or delays. (Georgia Sun)
- Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful has presented its Environmental Consciousness & Stewardship Awards. The awards were presented during the Governor's Environmental Address on Aug. 12. - Gwinnett County School District was placed on a list of top Georgia employers. The county school system was listed as 62nd on the Forbes list — in front of Cobb County but behind Paulding County. The list was created by Statista and used data collected from an anonymous survey. (Fox 5)
