He had been on the run for more than a year until he was stopped by deputies in Rutherford County, Tenn.
Tennessee authorities have arrested a Gwinnett County man they say is wanted by the U.S. Secret Service as part of a $2 million fraud investigation.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office in Murfreesboro said Kyandre Banks, 26, of Lilburn, was apprehended Monday on Interstate 24 by the agency’s Interstate Crime Enforcement Unit. Banks was reportedly one of several suspects wanted by the Secret Service.
The sheriff’s office said in a news release that Banks has a federal warrant issued for him by the Secret Service in Boise, Idaho. ICE Sgt. Shawn Applegate said Banks was previously indicted on charges of aggravated identity theft, wire fraud and conspiracy and had been on the run for more than a year.
