Man Convicted, Sentenced for 2 Waffle House Robberies

Robbin Jetial Haynes was one of two men charged in the 2014 armed robberies in Gwinnett County.

A man who was accused in armed robberies at two Gwinnett County Waffle House restaurants last year has been sentenced to life in prison.

The Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office said in a Friday news release that Robbin Jetial Haynes was convicted by jury this week to five counts of armed robbery, five counts of aggravated assault and one count of giving a false name to police.

He was one of two suspects arrested for the March 30 and 31, 2014 robberies of Waffle Houses in the Norcross and Duluth areas.

“Multiple victims were present during each robbery but thankfully, none were physically injured,” the D.A.’s Office said in a press release. “The defendants were apprehended a few days after the robberies during a routine traffic stop.”

Following the verdict, Judge Karen E. Beyers sentenced Haynes to life in prison.
