Man Wanted For Murder Passes Through Peru: Police
A man wanted by police in a Gwinnett County murder case passed through the country of Peru but is still on the run, police say.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA - A man wanted by police in a Gwinnett County murder case passed through the country of Peru but is still on the run, police say.
Gwinnett County Police are still seeking the whereabouts of Heraclio Solis-Ortiz, 56. He facing charges of felony murder and aggravated assault in a case where a man died of blunt force trauma two weeks ago.
Solis-Ortiz was reportedly arrested in Peru but after further investigation Gwinnett County Police learned that Heraclio Solis-Ortiz was not been captured in Peru. He was documented as passing through Peruvian customs but was not detained.

Gwinnett County police are working to gather more information.
Geremias Barrios Diaz, 52, was found dead at Villas Del Camino Apartments Nov. 20. He was found in the kitchen of his apartment when one of his roommates returned home at 1355 Graves Road. The roommate immediately contacted police and reported that a third roommate, Solis-Ortiz, may have been having an on-going dispute with the victim. At the time police arrived, all of Solis-Ortiz's belongings had already been removed from the residence.

Solis-Ortiz is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5'7," muscular build, black hair and green eyes.
The exact cause of Diaz's death has yet to be determined.
