  1. The Gwinnett Police Department reports that Bobby Joe Denny has been located safely. He went missing on Aug. 16 from his home in Lawrenceville. Medical conditions required him to be found quickly. The department plans to reunite Denny with his family as soon as possible. (Gwinnett County)
  2. Marcell Ozuna was arrested last Friday for Driving Under the Influence in Gwinnett County. The 31-year-old outfielder plays for the Atlanta Braves baseball team. He was released from the Gwinnett County jail on a $1,830 bond. The Norcross Police Department reportedly witnessed Ozuna driving at a high rate of speed before the arrest. (People.com)
  3. A judge has ruled that Democrat Patty Durand can remain on the General Election ballot for District 2. She is running for a Georgia Public Service Commission seat. According to Fulton County Superior Court Judge Melynee Leftridge, Gwinnett County was purposely drawn out of District 2 to exclude Durand. The commission will ultimately decide how much Georgia Power Co. customers will be paying. (WABE)
