- The CEO and founder of Georgia-based Vanguard Digital Printing Systems passed away on Aug. 12. A memorial service was held for David Cich at Dacula's Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church on Monday. Numerous tributes were paid to Cich through social media platforms. He founded the company in 2015. (Printweek)
- Atlanta Braves fans are not happy with Marcell Ozuna after his Gwinnett County DUI arrest. The star outfielder was booed by the Atlanta crowd while approaching the plate during his first at-bat after the incident. He was booed again when he struck out. This is the second time that the two-time All-Star has been arrested in 15 months. (Daily Caller)
- Ford Motor Co. will reportedly appeal the $1.7 billion verdict that was passed down by a Gwinnett County jury. Lawyer James Butler Jr. called the company's pickup truck roofs dangerously defective during the civil case. The company has routinely defended its trucks and engineers following the verdict.
